Berendina Awards Soft Skills Training Certificates to Batticaloa Youth
From its inception, Berendina always focused on youth empowerment as it strongly believes younger generation are the future backbone of the country. To improve their skills to be strong for their future employment opportunities, Berendina periodically provides Soft Skills Training programs to unemployed youth in its operational areas partnering with recognized vocational training institutions.
A group of 30 unemployed youth hailing from underprivileged families in Koralaipattu DS Division in Valaichchenai in the age range of 18-35, successfully completed their Soft Skills Training course organized by Berendina recently. The 3 months’ course commenced in February 2022 and ended in May 2022, costing Rs. 630,000.
The Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held at Koralaipattu Divisional Secretariat Hall at Valaichchenai in Batticaloa District on the Friday 27 May 2022. The special guests of the occasion were Mrs. K. Amaliny, Assistant Divisional Secretary of Koralaipattu, Mr. R. Gankatharan, Assistant Director of planning, Koralaipattu DS Division, Mr. A. Vinoth, Deputy Minister of Youth Parliament – Batticaloa District, Mr. V. Kandeepan from Skills Development Office, Mr. T. Sapiyathas, Youth development officer of NYSC, Mr. Denstan Derik, Youth Club Leader, Kalmadu, Ms. S. Pratheepa representing OCBTE Campus, Grama Niladari of Kalmadu and Kinniyadi GN Divisions as well as Mr. Thinesh, District Youth Development Coordinator of Berendina.
