Berendina Bulathkohupitiya Branch organizes Cluster Leaders’ Get-Together Ceremony

After a long break of almost 4 years, Berendina recently organized Cluster Leaders’ Get-Together event at at Ananda Hotel at Anguruwella. The event stated at 9.30 a.m. and ended at 2.30 p.m. 88 Cluster Leader and 5 Business Clients participated in the special event of the calendar year. The last Cluster Leaders’ Event was held in 2018 and the next event supposed to be held in 2020, it was postponed due to Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

The Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Rajany Surenth, Manager – Credit, BMIC. Special Invitees list include Mr. Ravindra Vipulanayake, Area Manager, Kegalle Region, Supun Tharaka, Acting Regional Manager, BDS, Mr. Chandana K. Jayalath, District Community Development Coordinator of Kegalle District, BDS and BMIC Branch Managers of Dehiowita, Galigamuwa, Warakapola and Mawanella Branches.

Berendina organizes Cluster Leaders’ Event in every 2 years with the objectives of meeting the cluster leaders and recognizing their unmatched contribution for the operation of BMIC, explaining Berendina’s future course and direction, discussing the present situation of Micro Finance Sector in the country, educating roles and responsibilities of Cluster Leaders, getting feedback and ideas for future expansion of Berendina’s activities by providing an open space for them to discuss the issues and challenges they face during operational activities.

The event was also provided a space to showcase new products of BMIC clients who have undergone various trainings through Enterprise Development Services (EDS) of BMIC. A sumptuous lunch was served to all invitees towards the end of the event.
