Berendina Conducts Capacity Development Program for Gender Focal Persons

We just wrapped up a transformative three-day capacity development program for our Gender Focal Persons, held from October 24th to 26th, 2024, in Dambulla. This program was aimed to educated selected staffs from Berendina from its branches and head office to educated participants on how to effectively act as Gender Focal Persons in their working area. The training was conducted by the inspiring Gender Specialist Mrs. Sriyani Perera, Berendina focused on Gender Mainstreaming and building essential skills through learnings of addressing Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV). It was a great opportunity for the 18 dedicated Gender Focal Persons to share insights and foster a collaborative approach to gender equality.
