Ayubowan Polpithigama! Berendina strengthens its presence in the Kurunegala District with the opening of its Third Branch in Polpithigama

Berendina Micro Investments Company Limited (BMIC) has expanded its footprint in the Kurunegala District with the inauguration of its third branch in Polpithigama. The vibrant opening ceremony took place on March 4, 2024, at the new branch located at No. 385, Madagalla Road, Kumbukulawa, Polpithigama. With this new addition, BMIC now operates 35 branches across 13 districts in Sri Lanka.

The inauguration of the Polpithigama branch was honored by the presence of Mr. Jagath Godakanda, Chairman, Mr. Charith Fernando, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Amal Dissanayake, Head of Operations, Ms. Sashini Ranasinghe, Assistant Manager – Operations of BMIC, Sub Inspector H. M. jayasuriya OIC of Community Police Division of Polpithigama Police station, Manager of Bank of Ceylon and several distinguished guests. BMIC’s commitment to reaching rural communities and providing essential financial services have led to the strategic placement of new branches in Kurunegala district, including Ibbagamuwa, Pannala, and now at Polpithigama. Currently, BMIC serves over 88,000 clients with a loan portfolio exceeding Rs. 4.7 billion.
