Anura Atapattu

Chairman

Mr. Anura holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Special), Sri Lanka, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Lincoln, UK, a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic Development from Colombo University and Certificate in Agriculture Extension and Rural Development from the University of Reading, UK. He has over 34 years of extensive management and consultancy experience in microfinance and enterprise development services, poverty alleviation in local and international organizations including World Bank, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme, Women’s World Banking and the Mix Market.

Jagath Godakanda

Managing Director

Mr.Godakanda holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture (special) University of Ruhuna and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from the National Institute of Business Management (Sri Lanka). He is working as an Independent Consultant for local and international organisations in enterprise development. He has more than 25 years of experience in poverty alleviation, microfinance, enterprise development and related activities.

SRIYANI PERERA

Director

Ms. Sriyani Perera is appointed to the Board of Directors of Berendina Development Services (GTE) Ltd (BDS) effective  from 12th March 2024. Ms. Perera has associated with the Berendina group previously and has offered her services to develop key policies that include Gender Policy and Anti-Harassment and Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy of Berendina. She also technically supported the present operational strategy of BDS. She holds Post Graduate qualifications in Social Policy & Planning from The University of Queensland, Masters in Women’s Studies from the University of Colombo and Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from BICS. Ms. Perera, is a prominent International Gender Expert, and a National Policy Developer who has contributed to the national policy and plan development while working in leading institutions such as ADB, European Union, UNIFEM and UNDP, where she most recently served. Her research work has added great value to the knowledge base on migration, gender, and organizational development.
