Educational Skills Development Workshop for the Teaching Staff in Anuradhapura

Berendina recently organized an educational skills development workshop for the teaching
staff of Mahamankadawala Vidyalaya and Katukaliyawa Widyadeepa Maha Vidyalaya in
Anuradhapura. The workshop was conducted by Mr. H. G. Chaminda Sampath, a Senior
Lecturer at Rajarata University, and was attended by 41 teachers from both schools. The
objective of the workshop was to enhance their teaching skills and help them develop new
techniques for teaching.

The workshop covered several important segments, including self-assessment to identify
weaknesses, preparing oneself as a teacher, understanding the responsibility of guiding
children to conquer the world of work, the value of updating skills as a teacher, and the
importance of treating all children equally. This initiative is organized under the Education
Development Program of Berendina.
