From Selling at an Abundant Bus Halt to a Durable Sales Cart

Berendina recently provided a durable and movable sales outlet for P.G.R. Lakshman
Bandara who lives at Neluwakkana Grama Niladhari division at Bulathkohuptiya Divisional
Secretariat division. Lakshman is a person with disabilities and currently living with his
mother and unmarried sister. His income generation activity was selling vegetables at an
abundant bus halt at Neluwakkana.

Berendina identified his dire condition and selected him to be in the list of vulnerable
beneficiaries under livelihood development project and provided a movable and durable
sales cart. This will enable Lakshman to continue his vegetable selling in a safer and
conducive manner in future.
