Transforming Healthcare: Berendina and Great Western Management Renovate Estate Dispensary

The plantation dispensary is the primary resource for the plantation estate community to obtain medicine and other healthcare services. The Great Western Estate similarly had a dispensary, but the building was damaged, posing a risk to people using it for their routine health services. This has forced estate community members to travel to the nearest hospitals in Talawakelle and Lindula areas, incurring additional transportation costs. Given their daily pay as estate workers, this added expense has become a significant burden.

Berendina aims to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality for underprivileged communities, ensuring that every resident receives the medical care they deserve. Recognizing the urgent need for improvement, Berendina and Great Western Management joined forces to renovate the estate dispensary. This project involved upgrading consultation rooms, waiting areas, treatment facilities, and enhancing sanitation amenities.

The collaborative renovation effort between Berendina and Great Western Estate Management has transformed the dispensary into a modern, well-equipped facility. This upgrade provides a safer, more efficient, and comfortable environment for patients and healthcare providers alike. It ensures that residents no longer need to travel long distances for medical treatment, saving time and reducing costs. The improved environment has not only enhanced patient care but also boosted the morale of healthcare providers, giving residents reliable access to quality medical services close to home.

The gratitude and joy expressed by the community towards Berendina is truly heartwarming. Together, we have made a lasting difference in their lives, bringing hope, prosperity, and a brighter future to Great Western estate community.
